If you are interested in doing a PhD with me please contact me sending a CV, including contact details of two referees, and a one page outline of your research interests.

I am offering projects in the general area of investigating how SNP or sequence information should be used to quantify the genetic component of variation and to determine the causative genetic variants and understand how they contribute to the phenotype. Possible areas for investigation include methods for the detection of rare variants using haplotype information, estimating relationships from genetic data or considering the role of small scale environmental variation and social interactions. We have access to large, human, data sets containing SNP genotypes or sequence data along with phenotypic records.
